This book is a wonderful  selection of vignettes that humorously illustrate life as we get older. Anyone who is approaching retirement or is now retired will love this laugh out loud book.  I especially liked her “Real Housewives of Century Village” and “Fifty Shades Greyer.” I found her humor reminiscent of Erma Bombeck whom I grew up reading and enjoying. Once I finished the book it received my highest award..I passed it on to my beloved Aunt who is newly retired. For a reader, sharing a book is high praise indeed. We share the books, tell others what order to read them in, and then eagerly await their response to the book. Books are a gift, a really good book is a treasure.

As I read this book I found myself searching out my husband to share particularly funny and true passages. I love that this book is not one story but a collection of stories that paint a whole story.  You can get a quick read of a chapter while waiting to pick the kids up form school and practice, get home and get in another section before cooking dinner.

The writer of this book like many people I know, faced retirement wondering what she was going to do with all her free time. Now you know how she filed it.  The book received a 2016 IPPY Award and was honored at the 2016 Author’s Showcase sponsored by Delray Beach Florida Public Library.
