Book Description for KILL AND RUN:

Book Trailer for KILL AND RUN:

Review:

I am a Fan of Lauren Carr and of course of her ubiquitous character, gnarly the German Shepard. I know I fell in love with him in the first book of Ms Carr’s I ever read. Well pets full of character come packed into this novel as well. There is a whole new crop of characters, and delightful pets, spun off from her Mac Faraday series. The main character is Mac Faraday’s Daughter Jessica. married, after 36 hours, to Navy Lieutenant Murphy Thorton.

Of course there is Murder and twists and turns. That is the hallmark of a great Mystery writer and Lauren Carr fits that bill. I hate to give spoilers in my reviews so I won’t. Let me just say that It took quite a while to place all the pieces together.

I actually listened to this as an audible book. If you haven’t tried audible.com you really should. Listening to books has not stopped me from reading them on my kindle or actual paper books. But an Audible book is great when you spend a lot of time driving or if you are riding on an airplane. Also Audible gives you a free one month trial so you have nothing to lose.

I can’t review an audible book without talking about the narration. Proper narration of these books is essential. A narrator who can change his or her voice for different characters makes the book really come alive. CJ McAllister is the narrator of this book and he does a wonderful job. He is good at changing his voice and cadence to help you recognizes dialog as opposed to prose and differentiate between characters.
